CEMT Bulletin

The CEMT Bulletin contains articles and reports published by member societies which relate to the maritime industry and their members' professional activities in their countries, but which may also be of interest and relevance to professional engineers in other countries of Europe. The Bulletin also includes reports of Council meetings.

CEMT Council meeting – Oct – Naples

The Autumn meeting of the CEMT Council was hosted by ATENA in Naples.  Members from the UK, Italy, Serbia, France, Greece and Spain were in attendance. Principal matters discussed included:

PostGradMarTec 2023: It was reported by HIMT that a full day’s programme of papers had been received for the PostGradMarTec 2023 Conference.

2024 Membership Fee: It was agreed that the annual CEMT membership fee for 2024 should be set at 200 Euros.

Award to KNVTS: It was agreed that The CEMT award for 2023 should be presented to KNVTS in recognition of their contribution to the maritime industry in Europe over the 125 years since their establishment. The Chairman would present the award in November 2023 during the Europort show.

Spring Meeting: It was agreed that the Spring meeting of the CEMT Council would be held in Madrid, and hosted by AINEMembership: It was agreed that STG should be invitedt o reinstate its membership, and invitations sent to appropriate Societies in Sweden, Norway, Croatia, Romania and Cyprus.
