The Confederation of European Maritime Technology Societies has Non Government Organization (NGO) consultative status with the UN Economic Commission for Europe, and is represented on the Working Party on Inland Water Transport by ATENA.
The Confederation of European Maritime Technology Societies has Non Government Organization (NGO) status with the Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine (CCNR)and is represented on the European Committee for Standards in Inland Navigation (CESNI) by ATENA.
WATERBORNE TP is an industry-oriented Technology Platform to establish a continuous dialogue between all waterborne stakeholders, such as classification societies, shipbuilders, shipowners, maritime equipment manufacturers, infrastructure and service providers, universities or research institutes, and with the EU Institutions, including Member States.
CEMT is represented on Waterborne by KORAB (Poland) and HIMT (Greece).
CEMT member Societies, the Royal Institution of Naval Architects and the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, have NGO Status with the International Maritime Organisation. Both Societies have undertaken to represent CEMT at the IMO and invite other member Societies to contact them with regard to current or future activities. Individual members should contact through their own Society.
