The 2-day International Conference on Postgraduate Research in Maritime Technology 2022 (PostGradMarTec 2022) will provide an opportunity for younger postgraduates to present and discuss their work, and to meet with other postgraduates world-wide from universities and industry in a conference environment.

Postgraduates are invited to present their current and recent research in any field relating to the design, construction and maintenance of marine vessels and structures. Such research should be ongoing or completed within the past five years

The Conference will also provide an opportunity for other members of the maritime community to gain an insight into the latest research emanating from universities and industry.


Programme   

Papers to be presented at PostGradMarTec 2022 include the following:

  • Floating Offshore Wind Turbines - Naval Architecture Methods for Installation Abstract
  • Dynamic Analysis of Hydrofoils and Flettner Rotors Implemented on a Marine Cloud Brightening Spray Vessel
  • Dynamic Analysis of Hydrofoils and Flettner Rotors Implemented on a Marine Cloud Brightening Spray Vessel
  • Pre-ONA: a data pre-processing tool for marine systems sensor data
  • An improved pedestrian evacuation model based on social force model in ship tilting environment
  • Guided wave-based thickness assessment of corroded ship structural elements.

Registration

Attendance at the conference will be free for postgraduate speakers and delegates. A number of places will be available for undergraduate students. Click here to register for the Conference

10 Feb - Registration of interest/submission of abstracts now open

15 May - Final date for submission of abstracts

1 Apr - Notification of acceptance of abstracts

8 July  - Final date for submission of papers/extended abstracts

16 Sep - Notification of paper/extended abstract acceptance (subject to final review)

7 Oct - Notification of acceptance of paper/extended abstract (post final review)

5 Nov - Latest date for registration

8-9  - Conference


Recording & Publishing

Conference Proceedings will be published online with open access.

Papers presented at the Conference may be submitted by authors after the Conference for publication in any scientific or technical journal.
